Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about Apertis Coding Plans.

What happens when my quota runs out?

When your subscription quota is exhausted, you can enable Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) as a backup. PAYG allows you to continue using the service by consuming your account balance at standard rates. You can set spending limits and alerts in your dashboard.

Is there a 5-hour quota window or a per-request token cap?

No. Apertis has no time-based quota window (no 5-hour reset) and no Apertis-imposed per-request token ceiling. Each request can use up to the underlying model's own context window - the limit is the model, not us. Your subscription quota is measured in monthly usage units, not clock time.

Can I use higher-tier models with On-Demand Usage?

No, On-Demand Usage (PAYG) respects your subscription tier limits. Lite users can only access Lite models, Pro users can access Pro + Lite models, and Max users can access all models. This ensures that subscription tiers maintain their value. If you need access to higher-tier models, please upgrade your subscription plan.

Can I upgrade or downgrade mid-cycle?

Yes! You can upgrade your plan anytime and start using higher-tier models immediately. The price difference is prorated for the remaining cycle. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle to ensure you get full value from your current plan.

How does the dedicated token work?

Each subscription includes a dedicated API token that is automatically created and managed. Requests made with it count against your plan's monthly allowance. The token is automatically deleted when your subscription expires, and you can renew it anytime in your dashboard.

What is the refund policy?

You can cancel your subscription anytime from your account Settings - cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Subscription payments are not refundable, including for time or quota you have not used, except where the law, a written agreement or the Refund Policy provides otherwise, such as a verified duplicate or incorrect charge, an unauthorized payment, or a verified service failure. A purchase made under an earlier version of the policy keeps that version's terms. To request a refund, email hi@apertis.ai. Full Refund Policy: apertis.ai/refund.

How do plan upgrades and downgrades work?

Upgrades take effect immediately: you receive your new plan's full monthly quota, are charged the new plan's full monthly fee, and your billing cycle resets to the upgrade date. The previous plan's remaining time and any unused quota are forfeited and not refunded. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle - you keep full access until then with no immediate charge or refund. For annual plans, the unused remainder is converted to a Stripe account credit applied to future invoices. Full details in our Terms of Service and Refund Policy.

Which coding tools are supported?

All plans support Claude Code, Roo Code, Kilo Code, Cline, OpenCode, Crush, and Goose. Additional tools are continuously being added. Check the "Supported Coding Tools" section below for the complete list.

How are invoices handled?

Invoices are generated automatically each billing cycle and sent to your email. You can view and download all past invoices from your subscription dashboard. We use Stripe for secure payment processing and invoice management.
